Cardiness was established in 1948 by Harry and Ada Summers as one of the nine original Padthaway soldier settlers. Today John & Julie Summers continue their family’s heritage on the original homestead land where they operate a 100 acre vineyard, rangeland cattle & farming operations.

Our brief was to communicate the family heritage and the benefits of low intervention farming practices developed to deliver the high value produce the Padthaway Region has the unique capability to grow.

Our solution was to design a bold brand identity that was applied to a website, cellar door point of sale items, tasting notes and a newsletter. We designed a unique illustration based on the topography and location of the vineyard on the Limestone Coast.
